Once you have established contact with SelectMED by completing the online contact form or emailing us at

info@select-med.org, we will reply and attach any forms you need to complete.

These will include a Memorandum of Understanding between yourself and SelectMED confirming your intention to use SelectMED as your agent in Ireland and asking us to initiate the necessary processes to have you registered and working legally in Ireland.

Once you are registered and we have placed you in a suitable post, you will be required to sign a contract with SelectMED. We will also forward (by email) an IMC Application Form, details about registering on a Professional Competence Scheme, an Atypical Working Scheme application and a form nominating SelectMED to make representation on your behalf to Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services (INIS).

It is essential that you send a detailed Curriculum Vitae and copy of your passport to us as soon as possible.

It is your responsibility to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from your country of origin and have a Certificate of Good Standing from your governing health authority (ie: HPCSA, GMC) sent directly to the IMC.
